Ambient awareness narrows to a single focus. The Huddle Board is a temporary overlay on your Ops Board — tap "Start huddle," pick a mode ("Charge RN handoff," "Physician signout," "Code debrief"), and the wall filters to the cards that matter for that conversation. When the timer ends, the wall reverts to the steady-state board.
Same wall, a different focus.
Your Ops Board is showing everything that's active. During a huddle, that's noise — the charge nurse doesn't want to read the in-service flyer when she's running through tonight's signout. Huddle Board mode hides everything except the cards labeled for that huddle, with a visible timer counting down.
- Time-boxed. Default 15 minutes, configurable per huddle mode. The wall shows a quiet countdown so people know it's a temporary view.
- Label-driven. Each huddle mode has a label filter — "charge-rn", "physician-signout", "code-debrief". Only cards tagged with that label appear.
- One huddle at a time. Per workspace, only one huddle runs simultaneously — no overlapping filters competing for the same screen.
- Phone-triggered. Anyone in the room scans the wall's QR, picks a mode, and the wall switches within 2 seconds.
- Audit-trailed. Who started which huddle, when, and for how long — recorded for the audit log.

Shift handoff
15 minutes, every shift change. Filter: "shift-handoff", "boarders", "ICU-bound" — the cards your incoming team needs to see before they take over.
Charge nurse huddle
10 minutes, mid-shift. Filter: "staffing", "throughput", "high-acuity". Charge can see what's pending without scrolling past in-service flyers.
Code debrief
20 minutes, after a code. Filter: "code-debrief", linked to the pathway used. Stays up long enough for the team to talk through what went well.
Education / in-service
30 minutes, scheduled. Filter: "education". The wall becomes the slide deck — no PowerPoint required.
Safety huddle
5 minutes, daily. Filter: "safety", "near-miss". Bedside team reviews yesterday's events before the new shift starts.
