Common questions
- Do I need a Curbside Health subscription to use this?
- No — Curbside Open pathways are free to read. If your hospital has a Curbside team license, those private pathways work too, and Relay respects the same auth.
- Does Relay "own" the pathway content?
- No. Pathways stay on Curbside. Relay stores the URL and a cached preview (title + favicon). When a clinician taps the card, they go to Curbside's live page. That's the whole point — there's no chance of an out-of-date copy lurking in Relay.
- What about hospital-specific protocols that aren't on Curbside?
- Upload them as PDF attachments on the card. Relay handles those alongside Curbside links seamlessly — clinical staff don't have to know which is which.
- Will this work on a wall TV at the nurses' station?
- Yes. The wall card shows the Curbside title + favicon at a size that reads across the room, plus the card's QR code. Anyone in the room can scan to open the live pathway on their phone.
- How does this differ from emailing a PDF?
- Three ways. Discoverability: the pathway is visible on the wall whether or not anyone opened the email. Currency: when Curbside revises the pathway, you don't have to re-email anyone. Audit: Relay records who acknowledged the card, so you know your team saw the update.
